Summary:
The national BESTUFS workshop in Austria was held on 06.03.2008 in cooperation with the Vienna Chamber of Commerce. The work title was "Lieferverkehr Quo Vadis - Fachenquete Lieferverkehr" which attracted 52 participants to a one day event focussing on detailed issues concerning urban freight transport in Vienna. A variety of presentations provided information from the companies' level, as well as the political and administrative point of view. With examples from Europe, detailed facts and data and methodical approaches a wide field of discussion between the participants was opened. The workshop was a big success and further activities to strengthen, disseminate and promote the topic of urban freight transport will be planned.
